I love passionate people. I love how they can walk by you in the street looking like the most average human, but the moment you engage them on their specialist subject, whooooosh, the touch paper is lit, their eyes are shining, and you find yourself on the most fascinating journey through their joy.
I have wanted to create a space for meeting and showcasing people who do what they love and love what they do for over a decade. The absolute irony of it now existing, so simply and easily, because I am creating space to do what I love, is not lost on me. Be the change, and all that.
So, this space will be for the passionate and the curious, the engaging and the enlightening! I’ll talk to people from all walks of life and shine a light into the things that make them tick and how they got to it.
To kick things off, though, I’m going to start with a story of not knowing. Of ambling and peering and masking, until eventually discovering that what makes you breathe easier is buried deep under the pile of healing you need to do, to be able to look at yourself and say ‘hey, you’re actually okay, you know? You’re not the absolute worst. Why don’t we see what you can already do, instead of trying to change you into something you’re not?’.
Doing what I love and loving what I do (and who I am): Write all along
